Prada Extends with Richie Hawtin, Bangkok, Thailand.
Prada and Richie Hawtin's global live event series came to Bangkok, Thailand. @prada #PradaExtends With curation from Richie Hawtin, global fashion powerhouse Prada hosted the fourth installation of their live event series entitled Prada Extends in Bangkok, Thailand. On Thursday June 29, the live event series, Prada Extends, went to Thailand’s capital city for a new celebration of the power and joy that can be reaped from music. Taking place at the Warehouse Stadium in The Khlong Toei district, Prada Extends with Richie Hawtin, combined electronic music with a productive dialogue exploring musical sentiments and forms of its expression. Prada has been working with British-Canadian electronic musicians since 2021 to deliver a unique series of live events that have been taking place across global destinations. Like the previous instalments, the Thai event also welcomed collaborative efforts from local DJs and visual artists as Prada invited them to take part in a one-off , truly unique performance. The event was presented by Arun Ramanathan, Director of Mixmag Asia. Since commencing his musical career in the early 90’s, Richie Hawtin has often been interested in the way music can unify different cultures and locations through fostering relationships and interactions under the umbrella of music's universal connection. Prada Extends debuted in November 2021 in the Tanks of London’s Tate Modern Gallery. The second edition, took place in July of 2022, involved a talk staged at the Prada Miyashita Park store in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, which was followed by a party at the Terrada centre for art and music.
